Karachi: The Exchange Companies Association of Pakistan (ECAP) released the closing exchange rates for January 12, 2026, reflecting slight adjustments in the buying and selling rates of major currencies against the Pakistani Rupee. These rates, used by exchange companies across the country, provide a snapshot of the currency market's status for that day.
According to the data from ECAP, the US Dollar was being bought at 280.40 PKR and sold at 281.05 PKR. The Euro was listed with a buying rate of 327.02 PKR and a selling rate of 330.07 PKR. The British Pound showed a buying rate of 376.90 PKR and a selling rate of 380.25 PKR.
For the Japanese Yen, the buying rate was 1.76 PKR, with a selling rate of 1.83 PKR. Meanwhile, the Emirati Dirham was bought at 76.49 PKR and sold at 77.25 PKR. The Saudi Riyal had a buying rate of 74.81 PKR and a selling rate of 75.39 PKR.
