Karachi: Exchange rates for several major currencies against the Pakistani Rupee remained stable on Friday, reflecting a steady economic outlook amidst global financial fluctuations. Key currencies, including the US Dollar, Euro, British Pound, and Japanese Yen, showed minor variations in their buying and selling rates in the local market.
According to Exchange Companies Association of Pakistan, the US Dollar was quoted at 278.12 for buying and 279.20 for selling. The Euro stood at 316.43 for buying and 319.72 for selling. The British Pound was recorded at 368.15 for buying and 372.12 for selling, while the Japanese Yen was at 1.74 for buying and 1.80 for selling. Other currencies, such as the UAE Dirham, were listed at 75.70 for buying and 76.28 for selling, and the Saudi Riyal at 74.01 for buying and 74.51 for selling.
The interbank exchange rates showed a slight difference, with the US Dollar quoted at 277.17 for buying and 277.37 for selling. These figures highlight a stable currency exchange environment in Pakistan, as observed by the association, despite ongoing global economic challenges.
