Karachi: The Exchange Companies Association of Pakistan (ECAP) reported stable exchange rates for various currencies in the open market as of August 13, 2026. The United States dollar was being bought at 278.59 Pakistani rupees and sold at 279.62. The euro and British pound were also traded within narrow margins, maintaining a steady position against the local currency.
According to the State Bank of Pakistan, the rates provided by ECAP are published for informational purposes. The euro was being bought at 320.28 and sold at 323.42, while the British pound's buying rate stood at 374.88 and selling rate at 378.29. Other key currencies such as the Japanese yen, UAE dirham, and Saudi riyal showed minimal fluctuations with their buying and selling rates at 1.74/1.80, 75.80/76.45, and 74.12/74.70 respectively.
These rates reflect a period of stability in the currency market, indicating a balanced demand and supply situation for foreign currencies in Pakistan.
