Pakistan’s Open Market Closing Exchange Rates Show Minor Fluctuations

Karachi: The Exchange Companies Association of Pakistan (ECAP) reported the closing exchange rates for major currencies in the open market on September 28, 2026, indicating minor fluctuations across various foreign currencies. The U.S. dollar closed with a buying rate of 278.17 and a selling rate of 279.23, while the euro ended the day with rates of 316.27 and 319.36 for buying and selling, respectively.

According to the State Bank of Pakistan, the British pound showed minor movement with a buying rate of 368.15 and a selling rate of 371.55. The Japanese yen was listed at 1.75 for buying and 1.81 for selling. Among the Gulf currencies, the United Arab Emirates dirham closed at 75.70 for buying and 76.30 for selling, and the Saudi riyal was recorded at 74.03 and 74.54 for buying and selling, respectively.
