Pakistan’s Open Market Exchange Rates Show Stability in Major Currencies

Karachi: The Exchange Companies Association of Pakistan (ECAP) released the closing exchange rates for major currencies in the open market on January 29, 2026, showing a relatively stable trend. The U.S. dollar was bought at 280.13 and sold at 280.88, while the euro was bought at 334.85 and sold at 338.26. The British pound and Japanese yen also showed minor variations in their buying and selling rates.

According to State Bank of Pakistan, the exchange rates for the United Arab Emirates dirham and the Saudi riyal were also noted, with buying rates at 76.50 and 74.80, and selling rates at 77.30 and 75.42, respectively. These rates are published for informational purposes only and reflect the current standing of foreign exchange transactions in Pakistan's open market.
