PCJCCI Denounces Terrorist Attack on Chinese Nationals Near Karachi Airport

Lahore: The Pakistan China Joint Chamber of Commerce and Industry (PCJCCI) has strongly condemned the terrorist attack that occurred near Karachi’s Jinnah International Airport on Sunday night. The attack resulted in the death of two Chinese nationals and injuries to another, along with seven other people. Additionally, the incident caused significant damage to at least eight vehicles.

According to Pakistan China Joint Chamber of Commerce and Industry, Nazir Hussain, President of PCJCCI, expressed deep condolences to the victims and their families, and denounced the attack as a strike against both Pakistan and the long-standing friendship between Pakistan and China. He emphasized that such acts of terrorism could not undermine the success of the China-Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC), which has significantly benefited Pakistan’s economy by enhancing transportation and energy infrastructure and strengthening bilateral ties.

Brig. Mansoor Saeed Sheikh (Retd), Senior Vice President of PCJCCI, reaffirmed Pakistan’s commitment to the safety and security of Chinese nationals and projects in Pakistan. He stressed the ongoing cooperation with China to counteract terrorism. Zafar Iqbal, Vice President of PCJCCI, assured that the government is actively working to identify and apprehend the perpetrators responsible for this tragic incident, emphasizing that the protection of Chinese nationals in Pakistan remains a top priority.

Salahuddin Hanif, Secretary General of PCJCCI, expressed confidence in the Pakistani government’s ability to conduct effective investigations, quickly identify the terrorists involved, and ensure their prompt prosecution.
