PCJCCI Hosts Cultural Event to Celebrate China’s National Day in Lahore

Lahore: The Pakistan China Joint Chamber of Commerce and Industry (PCJCCI) hosted a vibrant event on Thursday to celebrate China’s National Day, in collaboration with the Information and Culture Department of Punjab. The event, held at a local hotel, featured a blend of cultural performances and interactive sessions, highlighting the deep cultural and economic ties between Pakistan and China.

According to Pakistan China Joint Chamber of Commerce and Industry, the celebration was attended by notable figures including Rana Sikandar Hayat, Punjab’s Minister of Education, and Zhao Shiren, Consul General of China in Lahore. Other distinguished guests included former National Security Advisor Gen. Nasir Khan Janjua and representatives from various Pakistani and Chinese organizations. Moazzam Ghurki, President of PCJCCI, opened the event with a speech praising China’s achievements and the strong bilateral relationship fostered by initiatives like the China-Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC).

The event emphasized the mutual respect and trust between the two nations, with speakers highlighting the role of CPEC as a cornerstone of economic and cultural connectivity. Remarks from Rana Sikandar Hayat affirmed the significance of these ties, describing CPEC as a transformative project for the region. Zhao Shiren echoed these sentiments, praising the enduring friendship and cooperation between China and Pakistan.

The celebration also included a live exhibition of handicrafts, musical performances, and a special cake-cutting ceremony, further solidifying the festive and collaborative spirit of the occasion.
