LAHORE: The Pakistan Carpet Manufacturers and Exporters Association (PCMEA) has extended its congratulations to the newly elected office-bearers of the Lahore Chamber of Commerce and Industry (LCCI) following the Vision Alliance's triumph in the chamber's recent elections. The association emphasized that the business community has shown its confidence in the leadership of Mian Misbah-ur-Rehman, Sheikh Muhammad Ibrahim, Ali Hassam Asghar, Nasir Hamid Khan, and Chaudhry Amjad through their votes.

According to Pakistan Carpet Manufacturers and Exporters Association, PCMEA Chairman Mian Atiq-ur-Rehman, Patron-in-Chief Abdul Latif Malik, Vice Chairman Riaz Ahmed, and other senior members expressed that the Vision Alliance leadership has demonstrated its capabilities through its success in the elections. They hope that the new leadership will fulfill the expectations of Lahore's business and industrial community and enhance coordination between the government and the business sector.

The association highlighted the necessity for the chamber to effectively address the issues faced by the business community, particularly concerning tax burdens, high energy costs, ease of doing business, and export challenges, before the relevant government forums.

PCMEA office-bearers also expressed confidence that strong leadership at the Lahore Chamber would contribute to tackling the challenges facing the national economy and improving the business environment. They proposed that all LCCI committees should be activated promptly and focal persons should be designated to establish stronger links with various trade bodies and associations.
