Karachi: The 21st edition of Pharma Asia, the region’s premier pharmaceutical exhibition, opened today at the Expo Centre in Karachi. The event, organized by E-Commerce Gateway, is a significant gathering for industry leaders to showcase the latest pharmaceutical advancements and innovations.

According to Pakistan Pharmaceutical Manufacturers Association, the exhibition has drawn participation from over 200 companies, which are displaying their latest products and services across 750 booths. The event features extensive international representation, with delegates and exhibitors from 15 countries, including a major pavilion from China. This diverse participation underscores Pharma Asia’s role as a key platform for fostering international collaborations and business development within the pharmaceutical sector.

The exhibition was inaugurated by Mian Khalid Misbah Ur Rehman, Chairman of the Pakistan Pharmaceutical Manufacturers’ Association (PPMA), who expressed enthusiasm for the innovations presented by both national and international companies. Dr. Khursheed Nizam, President of Ecommerce Gateway Pakistan, highlighted the exhibition’s impact on shaping the future of the pharmaceutical industry in Pakistan and beyond. He also praised the PPMA for its pivotal role in promoting industry standards and advancements.

Additional support from the Special Investment Facilitation Council (SIFC) has been crucial in creating a favorable environment for investment and expansion in the pharmaceutical industry, contributing to its growth and the successful organization of Pharma Asia. The event is set to continue through August 22, providing a platform for further engagement and innovation within the industry.
