PHATA Launches Help Desk in Rawalpindi for ‘Apni Chhat Apna Ghar’ Housing Scheme

Rawalpindi: The Punjab Housing and Town Planning Agency (PHATA) in Rawalpindi has opened a new help desk to guide citizens through the application process for the ‘Apni Chhat Apna Ghar’ housing scheme, aimed at providing affordable housing to low-income families in the region.

According to Zameen.Com, the scheme, initiated by Chief Minister Punjab Maryam Nawaz, targets workers and laborers, offering them interest-free loans up to PKR 1.5 million for home construction on small plots with a seven-year repayment period. Eligibility criteria include being a Punjab resident, earning below PKR 60,000 per month, and not currently owning a home. The plan includes the construction of over 3,000 homes in each district, beginning with Lahore, Multan, and Rawalpindi.
