Islamabad: Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif has launched Orchard View, a new residential development designed specifically for overseas Pakistanis, situated along the Korang River. Announced on July 23, this project aims to cater to the housing needs of Pakistanis residing abroad by offering state-of-the-art facilities and luxury living.
According to Zameen.Com, the Capital Development Authority (CDA) has dedicated 1,400 kanals of prime land stretching from Islamabad Club to Margalla Town Phase II for this ambitious project. Orchard View is set to comprise 3,000 villas and luxury apartments, equipped with modern amenities and available to overseas Pakistanis at special discounted rates with payment options in U.S. dollars to enhance the country's foreign exchange reserves.
The project is projected to generate a profit of PKR 180 billion for the CDA and will be executed as a joint venture, ensuring no financial burden falls on the CDA. It includes an aggressive timeline for completion within 18 to 24 months, incorporating advanced technology to purify and beautify the Korang River. This initiative not only aims to provide luxury accommodations but also to restore the river's environment, preventing it from degradation due to neglect and encroachment.
