Power Cement Ltd. Sees Surge in Profitability Amid Increased Exports

Karachi: Power Cement Ltd. reported a significant increase in its profitability for the first nine months of fiscal year 2026, with profits rising to PkR2.5 billion from PkR348 million in the same period last year, driven by growth in volumetric sales and improved margins.

According to AKD Securities Limited, the company's recent analyst briefing highlighted a 17% year-on-year increase in total offtakes, reaching 1.9 million tons. This growth was largely attributed to a 61% rise in clinker exports, which was bolstered by the ongoing Middle East conflict. The sales mix for the period consisted of 54% local dispatches and 46% exports, with exports comprising 70% clinker and 30% cement.

The company also reported full capacity utilization at its Line-III production facility, an increase from the previous year's 92%. In the domestic market, Power Cement maintained a 20% market share in the South region during the reporting period. These developments were underpinned by lower financial charges due to falling interest rates and enhanced operating efficiencies.
