Dera Bugti - Sui: Pakistan Petroleum Limited (PPL) is actively countering misinformation regarding the status of its Computer Training Centre and Library (CTCL) in Sui. The facility, a key component of PPL's Corporate Social Responsibility initiative, has been a vital source of education and skill development for local youth since 2009.
According to a statement by Pakistan Petroleum Limited, CTCL remains fully operational despite unfounded claims of its closure. These allegations, described as malicious, have been circulating among certain individuals and media outlets, potentially disrupting educational advancements in the region.
The CTCL, located at Tehsil Bazaar in old Sui, is managed by The Education Consultancy (TEC) and occupies a 20,000 square foot area. The center has been instrumental in providing Information Technology training to over 1,500 students and supporting an active library membership exceeding 1,200 individuals.
PPL has reiterated its commitment to the educational and professional growth of youth in Sui and surrounding areas. The company emphasizes the importance of the CTCL in empowering local communities and vows to continue its investment in initiatives that promote learning and development.
PPL strongly condemns the spread of misinformation and assures the community of its ongoing support for educational programs in Balochistan.
