Sialkot, September 15, 2021 (PPI-OT):Mr. Qaisar Iqbal Baryar, President of The Sialkot Chamber of Commerce and Industry welcomed Mrs. Ambreen Ahmed Tarar, Collector, Collectorate of Customs Sambrial-Sialkot. Mr. Qaisar Iqbal Baryar, President Sialkot Chamber explained the role of the Sialkot Business Community in strengthening the Exports of the Country. The President said that Sialkot Chamber had always tried to facilitate the Business Community by resolving their problems causing hindrance in the smooth flow of Businesses.

Mr. Baryar said that along with new Temporary Export Facilitation Scheme, previous Export Facilitation Schemes should also be continued to provide more ease to the Exporters. He emphasized that instead of multiple audit procedures, a single audit procedure should be introduced. He also proposed the Collectorate of Customs should organize awareness seminars for a better understanding of the Exporters.

He highlighted that the Sialkot Customs Collectorate should have System integration with the other Customs Collectorate so that fewer problems would be faced by the exporters. He requested that under One-Customs, an automated system should also be introduced for rebate claims of Exporters same as WeBOC. He also requested to support the Sialkot Chamber in abolishing Sindh Infrastructure Development Cess from the imported material to be imported for re-export purposes.

Mrs. Ambreen Ahmed Tarar, Collector, Collectorate of Customs Sambrial-Sialkot thanked President Sialkot Chamber and all the participants of the meeting. She said that Sialkot Customs Collectorate would always be open for the facilitation of the Business Community. She assured that reforms and simplification in the policies were the key consideration of the Government of Pakistan. While addressing the business community of Sialkot, she said that every possible effort would be made to resolve all the issues creating hurdles in uplift the exports of the country and convey the same to Government Quarters for relief to the Business Community.

Mr. Khurram Aslam, Senior Vice President SCCI, Mr. Ansar Aziz Puri, Vice President SCCI, Mr. Tahir Majid Kapur, Former President SCCI and Chaudhary Ahmed Zulifiqar Hayat, Chairman Departmental Committee on FBR, Customs, Sales Tax, Federal Taxation was also present in the meeting.
