Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif and Field Marshal Asim Munir Lauded for Peace Efforts

Karachi: Pakistan's role in mediating peace between Iran and the United States has garnered international acclaim, as highlighted by Malik Khuda Bakhsh, Convener of the Energy Standing Committee of the Federation of Pakistan Chambers of Commerce and Industry (FPCCI) and President of the Pakistan Business Forum (Sindh Region). Bakhsh emphasized the significant contributions of Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif and Field Marshal Asim Munir in the ongoing diplomatic negotiations, which have been recognized globally for their efforts to promote ceasefire and dialogue.

According to Federation of Pakistan Chambers of Commerce and Industry, the negotiations surrounding the Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) have positioned Pakistan as a critical player, with its efforts appreciated not only by the United States and Iran but also by Gulf countries impacted by the conflict. Malik Khuda Bakhsh asserted that Pakistan's mediation has played a pivotal role in mitigating tensions and fostering regional stability, averting the threat of a potential Third World War.

Malik Khuda Bakhsh urged the United States to lift all sanctions on Iran to enhance the regional business climate and benefit the global economy. He pointed out that such a move would facilitate the completion of the Iran-Pakistan gas pipeline project, potentially alleviating Pakistan's energy shortages and contributing to resolving the energy crisis.

Paying tribute to the leadership of Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif and Field Marshal Syed Asim Munir, Bakhsh praised their commitment to peaceful conflict resolution and encouraging dialogue between the United States and Iran, thereby promoting peace and stability in the region.
