PSO Expands Women’s Driving Program to Lahore and Islamabad

Islamabad: Pakistan State Oil (PSO) has announced the expansion of its women's skill development initiative, PSO Shaheen, into its second phase, significantly broadening its reach in Lahore and Islamabad. The program, which aims to provide women with essential driving and riding skills, follows a successful initial phase in Karachi.

The expansion marks a notable growth of the PSO Shaheen program, which originally commenced in Karachi. By branching out into Lahore and Islamabad, PSO has quadrupled the program's reach. The first phase saw 82% of trained women successfully obtaining their driving licenses and certificates, highlighting the program's efficacy.

PSO Shaheen remains dedicated to fostering women's mobility and confidence. Participants from the earlier phase have leveraged their new skills for various purposes, including supporting their families, establishing small businesses, and financing their own motorcycles.

As the initiative continues to expand, it aims to transform the lives of women throughout Pakistan, offering them new avenues for personal and professional development.
