Karachi: Pakistan State Oil (PSO), the national energy enterprise, hosted the PSO Excellence Awards 2026 in Karachi, celebrating dealer partners nationwide for their exceptional retail performance and underscoring their vital role in ensuring uninterrupted fuel supply across Pakistan.
According to Pakistan State Oil, the event was attended by key figures including PSO's Chief Executive Officer, Jawwad Ahmed Cheema, Chief Commercial Officer, Amir Zaib Khan, senior management, dealer partners, and employees. Mr. Cheema highlighted the indispensable role of dealers in maintaining Pakistan's energy security, stating, "Our commitment is simple and absolute: fuelling Pakistan, every day, no exceptions. That commitment is not delivered from a head office. It is delivered at the forecourt, by our dealers, one customer at a time."
The CEO emphasized that PSO's dealer network, consisting of over 3,600 forecourts nationwide, forms the backbone of the country's energy security. He noted PSO's dedication to enhancing retail standards through improved customer service, operational excellence, safety, technology, and upgraded retail sites. "Good enough is not good enough. The bar we are setting is the best in the market, and then better than that," he added.
During the ceremony, top-performing dealers were recognized for their commercial achievements, operational and safety standards, customer service, and adoption of best practices. Members of PSO's commercial team were also acknowledged for their efforts in strengthening the dealer network.
PSO is currently implementing a multi-year retail transformation program, focusing on network expansion, site modernization, automation, digitalization, loyalty initiatives, and enhanced non-fuel retail offerings. The company reiterated its commitment to developing Pakistan's most trusted, modern, and customer-focused energy retail network, with dealer partners playing a pivotal role in this transformation.
