PSX CEO Farrukh Khan Resigns, Board Acknowledges Contributions to Stock Exchange’s Success

Karachi: Mr. Farrukh H Khan has resigned as the Chief Executive Officer of the Pakistan Stock Exchange Limited (PSX), effective July 4, 2024. His departure marks the end of a significant era of leadership that saw substantial advancements in Pakistan's capital markets.

According to Pakistan Stock Exchange Limited, an emergency board meeting was held at 3:00 PM PST today to address Mr. Khan's resignation. The board expressed its utmost respect for Mr. Khan's decision to pursue other opportunities and formally accepted his resignation. During his tenure, Mr. Khan was recognized for his dedication and pivotal role in enhancing the performance and stature of PSX, which has reached new heights under his leadership. He acknowledged the support from domestic shareholders, the PSX Board and Chairperson, the Securities and Exchange Commission of Pakistan (SECP), and the Chinese Consortium, all of whom have contributed to the stock exchange’s success.
