Islamabad: PTCL Group, in collaboration with Zarai Taraqiati Bank Limited (ZTBL), has signed an agreement to implement a Managed WAN and All-In-One Desktop project across ZTBL sites nationwide. This partnership aims to boost technological enablement and connectivity across the agricultural sector.
According to Pakistan Telecommunication Company Limited, the signing event took place at the PTCL office in Islamabad, attended by Nadeem Khan, Group Chief Financial Officer of PTCL and Ufone 4G, and Tahir Yaqoob Bhatti, President and CEO of ZTBL, along with other senior officials. Under the new agreement, PTCL Group will equip over 500 ZTBL sites across Pakistan with Managed WAN solutions and All-In-One desktops, enhancing digital access and operational efficiency.
Nadeem Khan highlighted the commitment of PTCL Group to advancing technological transformation in Pakistan, noting its significant role in providing robust ICT services to over 7.20 million consumers. He emphasized the impact of these services on fostering innovation and tech-based transformation across various sectors, including agriculture.
Tahir Yaqoob Bhatti expressed enthusiasm about the partnership, stressing its potential to improve connectivity for ZTBL’s clients, particularly farmers, and to integrate modern agricultural technologies into their practices. He remarked on the strategic importance of this collaboration in driving growth and development within the Pakistani economy and enhancing the overall technological framework of the country’s agricultural sector.
