PTCL Partners with DWP Technologies for Data Center Modernization

Islamabad: Pakistan Telecommunication Company Limited (PTCL) is advancing its digital transformation by integrating software-driven storage platforms from Dell Technologies, in collaboration with DWP Technologies. This initiative aims to enhance PTCL's data center infrastructure, improving operational efficiency and ensuring scalability.

A formal signing ceremony took place in Islamabad, attended by key figures from PTCL and DWP Technologies. The event marked the beginning of a partnership focused on modernizing PTCL's storage infrastructure to meet increasing data demands.

The modernization effort will maintain uninterrupted operations, with current platforms fully supported. It introduces advanced features, such as a three-site active-active metro architecture, to ensure continuous service despite localized disruptions.

The upgrade also aims to reduce PTCL's data center footprint, cutting power and cooling needs, which will lower operational costs and improve energy efficiency.

Jafar Khalid, PTCL's Group Chief Technology and Information Officer, stated the collaboration is pivotal in the company's digital journey, enhancing operational capabilities and commitment to providing advanced solutions.

Rohail Bashir, DWP Technologies' COO, emphasized the partnership's role in delivering scalable and efficient infrastructure, shaping the future of telecommunications in the region.
