Lahore: The Chief Minister of Punjab has approved a major initiative for the Lahore Development Authority (LDA) aimed at converting Gulberg along with five other housing schemes into models of sustainable smart cities. This ambitious project, valued at 6 billion PKR, is set to address key urban challenges and redefine living spaces within the region.

According to Zameen.Com, this strategic project emerges as Lahore confronts growing challenges like increased population density and escalating air pollution. The initiative encompasses a variety of enhancements across several areas including Harbanspura, Allama Iqbal Town, Sabzazar, Gulberg, MM Alam Road, and LDA Avenue, integrating cutting-edge smart city features to promote sustainability.
