Punjab Government Launches “Chief Minister Punjab Model Cart” Initiative in Lahore

Lahore: In a significant move aimed at urban revitalization, the Punjab government has announced the launch of the “Chief Minister Punjab Model Cart” project, which will see the deployment of 1,000 carts across 19 strategic locations in Lahore.

According to Zameen.Com, the pilot phase of this initiative has already positioned carts along LOS Road, from Morriya Pul to Delhi Gate. Each cart, identifiable by a unique barcode number, is part of the government’s broader plan to organize street vending and boost local commerce.

The comprehensive rollout includes the establishment of model cart markets at key sites such as Service Road Shahdara, Shadman, Pir Makki, and Outfall Road, among others. Noteworthy locations also include Kharrak Nala on Multan Road, Thokar Raiwind Road, Bhati Chowk Raiwind, and Madar-e-Millat Road Green Town. Additional markets will be set up along Kacha Jail Road, Gajjumata Ferozepur Road, Makka Colony, and several other pivotal points throughout the city.

Further expansions are planned for GT Road Cooperative Store, Begumpura GT Road, and Daroghawala Chowk, under the supervision of Deputy Commissioner Lahore, Saeed Musa Raza, ensuring the project’s alignment with urban management and commerce enhancement goals.
