Rawalpindi Ring Road Project Awaits Approval for Revised Budget

Rawalpindi: The Central Development Working Party (CDWP) is poised to approve a revised budget for the Rawalpindi Ring Road Project, which has seen its financial needs grow due to expanded project scopes. The decision is crucial as the project is currently 35% complete and faces potential delays without timely financial endorsement.

According to Zameen.Com, the budget for the Rawalpindi Ring Road has been adjusted upward to PKR 38.3 billion from the initial PKR 31.3 billion. This increase is necessary to cover the costs associated with the construction of a 38.3 km road that will feature five interchanges, designed to enhance traffic flow and connectivity in the region. The project, vital for easing transportation woes in Rawalpindi, is targeted for completion by December, pending the timely approval of this revised budget by the CDWP.
