Islamabad, The State Bank of Pakistan (SBP) reported that remittances through the Roshan Digital Account (RDA) reached $7.66 billion by the end of March 2024, marking an increase from $7.478 billion at the end of February.

According to Zameen.Com, the RDA program continues to attract significant engagement from Non-Resident Pakistanis (NRPs), including those holding Pakistan Origin Cards (POC), by offering advanced banking solutions that facilitate a range of financial activities in Pakistan.

The latest figures reveal a significant uptick in the adoption of RDA, with the total number of registered accounts climbing to 679,792 in March from 668,701 in February. This surge in participation underscores the growing confidence and interest of overseas Pakistanis in leveraging the financial services provided under the RDA initiative.

Investment through the RDA has also seen substantial activity, with overseas Pakistanis investing USD 312 million in Naya Pakistan Certificates, USD 528 million in Naya Pakistan Islamic Certificates, and USD 31 million in Roshan Equity Investment by the end of March 2024. These investments reflect the broader financial participation and commitment of the expatriate community towards Pakistan’s economic stability.
