Lahore: During a recent site visit, the Chief Executive Officer of Ravi Urban Development Authority (RUDA), Imran Amin, outlined the current and forthcoming efforts aimed at revitalizing the River Ravi. The progress marks significant strides in a series of infrastructural enhancements tied to the broader urban development plan.
According to Zameen.Com, the first phase of river training, spanning 3km, is complete with rapid progress reported in packages 1, 1A, 2, and 2B. CEO Amin also kicked off construction on a new section that will connect the ongoing projects directly to the Lahore-Sialkot Motorway. His tour included a visit to the newly converted Mehmood Booti site, now an urban park powered by a 5-megawatt solar system, and the Chaharbagh residential area where he pressed for accelerated infrastructure development and completion of a flyover feasibility study linking the site to the Lahore Ring Road.
