Madina, The national airline of Saudi Arabia, has officially concluded its operations for Hajj Season 1445H, capping off a 74-day period marked by high efficiency and enhanced services for pilgrims. The final Hajj flight, SV5712, carried 320 pilgrims back to Magelang, Indonesia, departing from Prince Mohammed bin Abdulaziz International Airport in Madina.

According to Saudia Airlines announcement issued on 23 July 2024, the carrier achieved exceptional on-time performance throughout the season, despite the additional pressures of running operations during the peak summer period. The airline implemented several initiatives aimed at improving the experience for pilgrims, including digital platforms to ease the travel process, fast-track services at airports, superior in-flight services and catering, and educational programs on in-flight entertainment systems in multiple languages.

Mohammed Baakdah, Vice President of Ground Operations at Saudia, highlighted the collective effort and dedication of the Saudia team, which operated through holidays and Eid to ensure a smooth and spiritually rewarding experience for all guests. He also expressed gratitude towards all Hajj-related authorities for their support and collaboration, and mentioned that preparations for the next Hajj season are already underway.
