Jeddah: Saudia Group has successfully concluded the Hajj Season 1445H, having facilitated the transportation and services for over 1 million pilgrims through its extensive operations that span aviation, cargo, logistics, catering, ground services, and maintenance.
According to Saudia Airlines, the group managed more than 5,000 flights across four continents to over 100 destinations, accumulating 20,000 flight hours. Its low-cost carrier, flyadeal, also played a significant role by transporting over 70,000 pilgrims across 440 flights. The success of the season was supported by a dedicated team of 1.8 thousand captains and first officers, alongside 6.1 thousand cabin crew members, operating a fleet of 144 aircraft at full capacity, including 14 additional aircraft reserved specifically for Hajj flights.
The comprehensive service offerings during Hajj included digital booking solutions, diverse meal options, prayer announcements, and informative inflight content aimed at enriching the pilgrims' spiritual journey. Additionally, Saudia Cargo's operations were crucial, handling 98.9 thousand tons of cargo across 717 flights and facilitating digital transformation initiatives.
Saudi Logistics Services (SAL) managed 3.4 million cargo shipments, totaling 76 million kg, and supported 14.2 thousand flights for 59 airlines. Saudi Ground Services (SGS) ensured efficient ground handling, managing 4.6 million pieces of luggage and serving 2.2 million guests across 12.7 thousand flights. CATRION provided luxury hospitality and catering services, serving over 7.7 million meals onboard.
Saudia Technic ensured aircraft operational excellence with extensive maintenance work across 21 stations, providing 22.6 thousand spare parts, logging 4.5 thousand maintenance hours, and deploying 134 technicians.
