Karachi: Saudia Group has successfully concluded the Hajj Season 1445H, transporting over one million pilgrims and enhancing their spiritual journey with a variety of services across its integrated aviation ecosystem.
According to Saudia Airlines, “The group’s low-cost carrier, flyadeal, played a critical role by operating 440 flights and transporting more than 70 thousand pilgrims, demonstrating the synergy among Saudia Group’s companies.” This season, Saudia provided extensive flight services from major Pakistani cities including Karachi, Lahore, and Islamabad, setting a new benchmark for efficiency and comfort for Pakistani travelers.
The seamless operations were supported by Saudia’s skilled crew, which included 1.8 thousand Captains and First Officers, and 6.1 thousand cabin crew members, who adhered to the highest standards of service. Throughout the 74-day operation, Saudia maintained full capacity with its fleet of 144 aircraft, including 14 dedicated to Hajj flights, ensuring efficient service and enhanced passenger experience with features like digital booking, diverse meal options, and inflight spiritual content.
Saudia Cargo also contributed significantly by operating 717 flights and handling nearly 99 thousand tons of cargo, with Saudia Logistics Services managing 3.4 million cargo shipments and supporting 59 airlines. Furthermore, Saudi Ground Services ensured smooth handling of 12.7 thousand flights and 2.2 million guests, while managing 4.6 million pieces of luggage.
Catering to pilgrims’ needs, CATRION served over 7.7 million meals, and Saudia Technic ensured the fleet’s performance with extensive maintenance across 21 stations. As the Hajj 1445H season wraps up, Saudia is already planning for the next season, with an aim to further enhance the pilgrim experience through technology and expanded services.
