Jeddah: Saudia, the national airline of Saudi Arabia, has inaugurated a new First and Business Class Check-In Lounge at Terminal 1 of King Abdulaziz International Airport. The launch of this facility aims to elevate the travel experience for Saudia’s premium customers, including those from Pakistan, by offering an enhanced level of luxury and service.
According to Saudia Airlines, the lounge was officially opened by H.E. Eng. Ibrahim bin Abdulrahman Al-Omar, Director General of Saudia Group. It features 10 dedicated check-in counters and plush seating areas, providing a smooth and relaxing start to journeys. The lounge embodies traditional Saudi hospitality, greeting guests with Saudi coffee and dates upon arrival.
The introduction of this lounge is part of Saudia’s efforts to strengthen its connection with the Pakistani market, providing tailored services that cater to the specific needs of travelers from the region. The facility includes a café counter that offers a variety of beverages, allowing passengers to unwind before their flights.
The lounge is also aligned with the Saudi Vision 2030, which seeks to transform Jeddah into a major aviation hub and increase the Kingdom’s visitor numbers to 330 million annually. This initiative underscores the country’s commitment to enhancing its connectivity and appeal as a global travel destination.
Riyadh M. Alhudhaif, General Manager of the Jeddah Hub, commented on the launch, stating, “Unveiling Saudia’s new First and Business Class Check-In Lounge marks a landmark milestone in luxury travel, redefining the airport experience for our guests. This exclusive sanctuary offers more than just a premium check-in experience; it’s an immersion into Saudi hospitality and culture.”
In addition to the lounge, Saudia has made significant investments to improve passenger experiences. These include a seat retrofit program, advanced In-Flight Entertainment screens, a beta version of the Travel Companion powered by AI, and plans for high-speed in-flight connectivity across its fleet.
