Sindh Government Launches Interest-Free Loan Program for Solar Installations

Karachi, Sindh Energy Minister Syed Nasir Hussain Shah has introduced a new program offering interest-free loans for solar system installations throughout the region. The initiative is part of a broader effort to enhance energy infrastructure and provide clean electricity to half a million people each year.

According to Zameen.Com, the program was announced as part of a larger speech by Shah, who emphasized the government's commitment to addressing local challenges and meeting public expectations. The plan includes significant upgrades to the clean water supply across Sindh and aims to equip low-income households with solar systems that can power basic electrical needs.

The interest-free loans are specifically designed to support individuals who opt for independent solar installations, with the provincial government covering the interest costs. Additionally, Shah announced the construction of two new grid stations in every district to improve the overall energy framework of Sindh.
