This measure was decided upon during a meeting led by Sindh Senior Minister Sharjeel Inaam Memon, highlighting the administration's commitment to enforcing tax laws and enhancing fiscal discipline within the province.

According to Zameen.Com, this new policy aims to hold tax evaders accountable by freezing their accounts and exposing their identities to the public, reflecting the government's stringent approach towards ensuring financial compliance.

The meeting also addressed other pressing issues, including the rampant drug trafficking within the region. Minister Memon praised the ongoing efforts to combat drug dealers and called for an intensified crackdown, citing the severe threat they pose to the future of the nation and its citizens. The government plans to reinforce these efforts by assigning competent police officers and personnel from Karachi and Hyderabad to the Excise Department, specifically to target both drug dealers and tax evaders effectively.

Furthermore, the discussions during the meeting extended to enhancing operational efficiencies within the Excise Department. Proposals were made to implement biometric registration and transfer of vehicles and to improve the department's responsiveness to stakeholder complaints.
