Karachi: The Sindh High Court (SHC) has mandated the Karachi Metropolitan Corporation (KMC) to reissue rent challans for the huts at Hawke’s Bay, setting a compliance deadline within 15 days.

According to Zameen.Com, the ruling followed deliberations on more than 35 petitions contesting KMC’s annual rent charge of PKR 18,000 per hut. Despite the established rate, several lessees have defaulted on payments. The court has resolved the matter by dismissing all filed petitions, directing a streamlined reissuance of the rent documents to enforce compliance.
