Lahore: The Small and Medium Enterprises Development Authority (SMEDA) extended complimentary consultancy services to local businessmen, focusing on pre-feasibility studies, planning, and taxation strategies to enhance the success of small and medium enterprises (SMEs). This initiative took place at the SME Finance and Banking Expo organized by the Lahore Chamber of Commerce and Industry (LCCI).
A team of experts, including Mr. Saddam Qazi and Mr. Aamir Tariq, manned the SMEDA stall, providing guidance to entrepreneurs. The event highlighted the collaborative efforts of the banking sector to improve SMEs' access to finance, aligning with directives from the Prime Minister of Pakistan.
The expo was well-attended by key figures such as LCCI President Faheemur Rehman Saigol and Executive Director of the State Bank of Pakistan (SBP) Syed Basit Ali. SMEDA officials emphasized the importance of supporting micro, small, and medium enterprises, particularly women entrepreneurs and microenterprises, through finance access and digital literacy.
Attendees, including prospective entrepreneurs and existing SME representatives, showed significant interest in the services offered by SMEDA, indicating the strong demand for support in the SME sector.
