Los Angeles: Spotify has officially launched its collaboration with streetwear brand A BATHING APE (BAPE), unveiling exclusive designs that blend music and fashion in a celebration of hip-hop culture. The partnership features a newly designed Shark Hoodie and College Tee, merging Spotify’s branding with BAPE’s iconic camouflage pattern.
According to Spotify, the collaboration aims to “celebrate the artists and fans who drive music and streetwear culture forward,” as stated by Marc Hazan, VP of Partnerships and Marketing at Spotify. This initiative marks the first joint project between the two brands, emphasizing BAPE’s long-standing influence in music and streetwear.
The exclusive merchandise, including the Shark Hoodie, will be available for purchase on November 2 at the BAPE STORE LOS ANGELES. The partnership extends beyond apparel, with BAPE redesigning the cover of Spotify’s RapCaviar playlist, a major platform for hip-hop music featuring Tennessee rapper GloRilla.
Further promoting the collaboration, billboard ads featuring the Spotify x BAPE designs will be visible across the U.S. and the U.K. Additionally, these designs will be showcased on the LED screens during FC Barcelona’s match against Sevilla on October 20, highlighting the global reach and cultural impact of this partnership.
