Stockholm: Spotify has announced its financial results for the second quarter of 2024, showcasing significant growth in premium subscribers, monthly active users, and achieving record profitability. The company reported a 20% year-over-year increase in total revenue, reaching 3.8 billion euros, and improvements in both user base and operational efficiency.

According to Spotify, the number of monthly active users rose by 14% compared to the previous year, totaling 626 million. Premium subscribers also saw a notable increase of 12%, reaching 246 million. These metrics underline Spotify’s successful strategy in enhancing its user engagement and monetization in a competitive digital music landscape.

The company's gross margin stood at 29.2%, and its operating income reached 266 million euros, reflecting effective cost management and robust revenue streams.
