Stability in Currency Exchange Rates Noted Over Weekend in Pakistan

Karachi: Exchange rates between the Pakistani rupee and major global currencies like the USD, EURO, and GBP showed minimal fluctuation from Friday to Monday, as per the latest data. The US dollar held steady at a buying rate of 278.97 and a selling rate of 279.75 across both days. Similarly, minor adjustments were observed in the rates for the Euro and the British Pound.

According to Exchange Companies Association of Pakistan, the buying and selling rates for the Euro on Friday were recorded at 307.07 and 308.29 respectively, with a slight increase by Monday to 307.15 and 308.52. The British Pound moved from 365.15/365.55 to 365.23/366.55 over the weekend. The Japanese Yen and the currencies of the UAE and Saudi Arabia also showed minimal differences in their trading figures.

This stability in exchange rates comes amid a broader context of economic monitoring and minor adjustments in the interbank rates, which were reported at 278.64 and 278.84 on Monday. This data underscores a period of relative stability in the Pakistani currency market, despite ongoing economic challenges globally.
