Karachi: The State Bank of Pakistan disclosed the latest figures for its overnight repo and reverse repo facilities, detailing transactions that took place on July 7, 2025.
The central bank reported that one financial institution accessed the overnight repo facility, borrowing a total of Rs. 61,000 million. This facility, often referred to as the "floor," provides liquidity to institutions in need of short-term funds.
On the same day, the reverse repo facility, known as the "ceiling," was accessed by a single institution. The amount transacted for this facility was Rs. 36,000 million. This facility allows institutions to place excess funds with the central bank.
