Stock Market Indices Decline Slightly Amid Lower Turnover

Karachi: The Pakistani stock market experienced a slight decline as both the KSE30 and KSE100 indices dropped marginally on August 27, 2026. The KSE30 fell by 79.11 points to close at 52,748.13, while the KSE100 decreased by 47.93 points, ending the day at 177,322.78.

According to Pakistan Stock Exchange Limited, the indices saw fluctuations throughout the trading session, with the KSE30 reaching a high of 53,226.06 and a low of 52,703.42, and the KSE100 peaking at 178,650.02 before hitting a low of 177,196.29. Despite these movements, the overall percentage change remained minimal, with the KSE30 declining by 0.15% and the KSE100 by 0.03%.

Market turnover showed a decrease, with the regular market (REG) reporting a total of 614,057,465 shares traded, down from the previous 644,841,866. The traded value in the regular market rose to 34,547,377,761 from 31,365,996,374. In the deliverable futures contracts (DFC) market, both turnover and traded value saw slight changes, with 500,393,500 shares traded and a traded value of 27,033,428,180. The odd lots (ODL) market reported an increase in turnover and traded value, with 4,558 shares and 86,524 in traded value. Market capitalization also showed a slight decrease from 19,892,307,740,908 to 19,860,499,584,712.
