Karachi: The stock market experienced a downturn as both the KSE30 and KSE100 indices saw notable declines on April 28, 2026. The KSE100 index dropped by 1,085.12 points, settling at 168,412.23, while the KSE30 index fell by 418.65 points, closing at 50,990.49. This decline marks a percentage decrease of 0.64% for the KSE100 and 0.81% for the KSE30.
According to Pakistan Stock Exchange Limited, the market turnover increased significantly with a current turnover of 1,190,338,908 compared to the previous 780,227,390. The traded value also saw an increase, recording 34,542,984,216 as opposed to the previous 33,420,921,755. Despite this rise in activity, the overall market capitalization decreased from 18,747,804,865,883 to 18,646,888,022,690.
The day's high for the KSE100 index was 169,313.91, while the low was 168,170.74. For the KSE30, the high and low were recorded at 51,274.61 and 50,852.50, respectively. The drop in indices indicates a period of volatility and caution among investors.
