Karachi: The Pakistan Stock Exchange experienced a slight downturn as both the KSE-30 and KSE-100 indices recorded minor losses on Tuesday. The KSE-30 index fell by 86.08 points to close at 52,237.50, while the KSE-100 index decreased by 130.44 points, ending the session at 171,073.73.
The day’s trading saw fluctuations with the KSE-30 reaching a high of 52,534.89 and a low of 52,208.09. Similarly, the KSE-100 fluctuated between a high of 171,867.32 and a low of 170,968.31. The percentage decline stood at 0.16 for the KSE-30 and 0.08 for the KSE-100.
Market turnover showed a drop, with the regular market (REG) witnessing a turnover of 650,136,340 shares compared to the previous 684,548,261 shares. The traded value also declined to approximately 28.26 billion from 30.10 billion. Market capitalization for the regular market reduced slightly from 19,435.60 billion to 19,396.80 billion.
The debt for consumption market (DFC) reported a turnover of 575,828,000 shares, an increase from the previous 507,884,500 shares. However, its traded value fell to 36.65 billion from 41.63 billion.
The odd lot market (ODL) saw a turnover of 2,506 shares, a significant rise from the previous 792 shares, with a traded value of 49,401 compared to 14,919 previously.
