Karachi: The Karachi Stock Exchange (KSE) experienced moderate gains today, with the KSE100 index rising by 1.20% to close at 178,200.02 points. This increase was mirrored by the KSE30 index, which also saw a 1.40% uptick. The day's trading was highlighted by significant movements in certain stocks, with GADT emerging as the top gainer, up by 10.00%.
According to JS Global, GADT led the list of gainers with a price increase to 302.79. Other notable gainers included TPLRF1, which rose by 6.59% to 10.52, and AHCL, which increased by 4.71% to 16.23. Despite these gains, several stocks saw declines, with IBFL dropping by 4.44% to 293.40 and MEHT down by 2.87% to 188.87. The market capitalization of the Pakistan Stock Exchange (PSX) increased by 1.00% to reach Rs 19,953.86 billion, equivalent to US$71.84 billion.
The volume leaders of the day included TSBL, which traded 113.32 million shares, and TPLP, with 83.71 million shares traded. The total volume of shares traded stood at 785.36 million, with a total value of Rs 33.14 billion. The regional markets showed mixed results, with India’s BSESN index up by 0.7% and Korea’s KOSPI experiencing a significant drop of 5.1%.
