Karachi: The stock market experienced notable declines with key indices KSE30 and KSE100 both closing lower, according to the latest report. The KSE30 index fell by 726 points, a decrease of 1.33%, closing at 53,705.71. The broader KSE100 index also saw a decline, dropping 2,314.73 points or 1.27%, ending the day at 179,927.05.
According to Pakistan Stock Exchange Limited, the market turnover for regular transactions decreased to 845,279,000 shares from a previous 948,776,108 shares, while the traded value fell to 35.55 billion PKR from 38.41 billion PKR. The market capitalization also saw a reduction, standing at 20.29 trillion PKR compared to the prior 20.50 trillion PKR. The DFC segment, however, showed a slight increase in turnover to 189,238,500 shares, with a traded value rising to 8.53 billion PKR. The ODL segment recorded a decrease in both turnover and traded value.
