Stock Markets Decline as KSE Indices Fall Amid Lower Turnover

Karachi: Pakistan's stock market experienced a decline as both the KSE30 and KSE100 indices showed notable decreases in their current positions compared to previous figures. The KSE30 index closed at 52,098.85, down by 565.05 points, while the KSE100 index ended at 174,429.93, marking a drop of 1,703.64 points.

According to Pakistan Stock Exchange Limited, the market turnover showed a significant decrease with registered transactions falling from 1,003,497,720 to 695,696,577. The traded value also declined, with current figures at 25,404,237,273 compared to the previous 35,702,217,571. The market capitalization was affected as well, decreasing from 19,790,231,076,933 to 19,625,694,496,213.

The high and low values for the KSE30 and KSE100 indices also reflected market volatility, with the KSE30 reaching a high of 52,685.80 and a low of 51,975.84. Similarly, the KSE100 index registered a high of 176,255.64 and a low of 174,104.07. The overall percentage change for the KSE30 and KSE100 indices stood at -1.07% and -0.97%, respectively, indicating a broader downturn in the market.
