Stocks Surge as KSE100 and KSE30 Indices Post Gains

Karachi: Pakistan’s stock market witnessed an uptick with both the KSE100 and KSE30 indices closing higher on Wednesday. The KSE100 index rose by 1,291.15 points, reaching a level of 162,226.28, while the KSE30 climbed 547.55 points to close at 49,228.54.

The trading session saw the KSE100 index reaching a high of 162,741.73 and a low of 161,279.02, reflecting a percentage increase of 0.80. Meanwhile, the KSE30 index recorded a high of 49,409.14 and a low of 48,761.84, marking a 1.12 percent rise.

The market turnover for regular trading was 1,029,780,020 shares, down from 1,545,928,917 shares in the previous session. The traded value for regular trading increased to 45,177,906,733 from 38,855,445,430, while the market capitalization rose to 18,483,143,807,177 from 18,376,322,460,421.

In the futures market, the turnover was 242,537,500 shares compared to 288,068,000 shares previously. The traded value for futures increased to 12,357,332,985 from 9,898,990,370.

The official figures from the Pakistan Stock Exchange Limited indicated a positive sentiment, with investors showing increased activity in the market.
