Lahore: The Pakistan Carpet Manufacturers and Exporters Association (PCMEA) has reported significant international interest in the upcoming 42nd World Exhibition of Handmade Carpets. Organized in collaboration with the Trade Development Authority of Pakistan, the event has already registered over 50 foreign buyers, with expectations to exceed 100 participants. The exhibition aims to identify new buyers, secure export orders, and enhance the global standing of Pakistan's handmade carpet industry.
According to Pakistan Carpet Manufacturers and Exporters Association, PCMEA Chairman Mian Atiq-ur-Rehman and Exhibition Chairman Riaz Ahmed discussed the exhibition's objectives and preparations during a recent meeting. Attended by Patron-in-Chief Abdul Latif Malik, Carpet Training Institute Chairperson Ijaz-ur-Rehman, and other senior members, the meeting also included briefings from various committees on the exhibition's progress. The leaders emphasized the importance of international engagement and marketing to boost exports and affirmed their dedication to leveraging the exhibition to promote the industry globally.
The PCMEA leadership highlighted the necessity for participating manufacturers and exporters to showcase high-quality products with innovative designs, encouraging them to engage with foreign buyers for long-term business relationships. They also stressed the importance of providing comprehensive facilities to foreign visitors to project a positive image of Pakistan and ensure the success of the exhibition.
