Islamabad: Telenor Pakistan announced the launch of its 'Startup Mentors' Network', a new initiative designed to bolster the entrepreneurial ecosystem by providing startups with strategic guidance and expert advice. The network will feature a panel of 31 experienced professionals from within the company, aiming to facilitate the growth of emerging businesses across various sectors.
According to Telenor Pakistan, the Startup Mentors' Network will build on the success of its corporate accelerator program, Telenor Velocity, which has supported startups in scaling their operations through expertise in product management, growth hacking, and digital assets. The new network aims to deepen this support by offering tailored advice to startups at critical development stages, helping them refine business models, devise effective strategies, and enhance market positioning.
The mentors, chosen for their deep knowledge and successful track records in areas like communications, marketing, finance, strategy, and business models, will work closely with startups in various incubators and accelerators nationwide. Areej Khan, Chief People Officer at Telenor Pakistan, emphasized the company's commitment to fostering entrepreneurship, stating that the initiative is designed to empower innovators with the necessary tools and insights to succeed in a competitive market.
This initiative is expected to significantly impact Pakistan's startup landscape, building on the outcomes of Telenor Velocity, which has already facilitated significant growth and investment for startups in domains such as Edtech, Healthtech, Fintech, IoT, and Agritech.
