UBG calls on Chief Minister Sindh for upgrading infrastructure of Karachi

Karachi, October 11, 2022 (PPI-OT):The United Business Group (UBG) Chief Petron SM Muneer, President Zubair Tufail and Chairman Sindh Zone Khalid Tawab has made an appeal to Chief Minister Sindh Murad Ali Shah to improve the infrastructure of Karachi which is known as an economic hub of Pakistan contributing significantly in the exchequer.

They said that Karachi was passing through the worst period of its history never seen it in such a miserable condition where sanitation, pathetic infrastructure, transportation and now law and order situation have reached to the level of ever worst disorder. The roads of entire Karachi and the condition of site areas of town associations are completely in miserable condition despite the fact that these Town Associations are known economic sites contributing in economic activities and providing job opportunities to the masses, UBG added.

UBG also requested the Chief Minister to take strict action against the water tanker mafia which has ruined the entire Karachi and now it has started providing unhealthy and contaminated water to Karachi. It was also disclosed by UBG that the contaminated rainwater accumulated in ponds and puddles in the outskirts of the city and in parts of Balochistan was being illegally supplied through by the water tanker mafia causing increase in water borne diseases including dengue and Naegleria which are being witnessed in large number in various hospitals.

UBG also suggested upgrading the department of fire brigade with the latest technologies and equipment, otherwise God forbid any worst incident can happen. UBG also demanded revamping of Sindh Building Control Authority which performance is known to everyone.
