Karachi: The United Business Group (UBG) has expressed strong support for the federal cabinet's recent visa policy reforms, which they believe will substantially boost tourism, foreign investment, and trade in Pakistan. The reforms allow citizens from 126 countries to obtain visas on arrival at Pakistani airports within 24 hours, free of charge, positioning Pakistan as a more accessible destination for international visitors and business ventures.

According to United Business Group, UBG President Zubair Tufail highlighted the significant potential for national tourism and foreign investment growth due to these changes. Khalid Tawab, Chairman of the Sindh Region for UBG, emphasized that the reforms would foster a business-friendly environment conducive to economic expansion and job creation. Additionally, Mazhar Ali Nasir commended the specific provisions made for Sikh pilgrims, enhancing Pakistan's appeal as a center for religious tourism and cultural exchanges.

Hanif Gohar and Momin Ali Malik, members of the group, echoed these sentiments, noting that the reforms align with the government's vision for a progressive and economically robust Pakistan. They anticipate that this initiative will open new avenues for businesses, tourists, and investors, thereby reinforcing Pakistan's role as a key player in regional activities.
