WASA Faisalabad Launches 15 New Development Schemes to Revitalize City Infrastructure

Faisalabad: The Water and Sanitation Agency (WASA) in Faisalabad has announced the initiation of 15 new schemes under the Annual Development Programme (ADP) aimed at addressing the city’s most pressing infrastructure needs.

According to Zameen.Com, during a visit to the WASA headquarters, Director General of the Faisalabad Development Authority (FDA) Mohammad Asif Chaudhry praised the agency’s proactive steps towards urban improvement. The schemes are projected to mitigate up to 70% of the city’s current infrastructure challenges, significantly enhancing the living conditions for its residents. WASA Managing Director Amir Aziz outlined the details of these initiatives in a comprehensive briefing, highlighting their potential impact on modernizing water and sewage systems, and improving overall service delivery.

The meeting also reviewed progress on several foreign-funded projects that are critical to expanding the city’s water supply and sewage treatment capabilities. Chaudhry expressed optimism about the timely completion of these projects with continued support from the Punjab government, emphasizing their importance in addressing environmental pollution and enhancing the quality of life in Faisalabad.
