Islamabad: Zindigi Chief Officer Noman Azhar has been recognized as one of the “Top 50 CEOs Under 50” at the Commonwealth Business Excellence Awards. The prestigious honor was bestowed during the Commonwealth Summit in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia.
The Commonwealth Business Excellence Awards are presented annually to corporations and leaders across the Commonwealth who exhibit exceptional performance in areas like customer dedication, ethical conduct, sustainability, and charitable giving.
Azhar has headed Zindigi, a digital banking platform under JS Group, since its launch in 2021. Built on proprietary technology developed under Azhar's direction, Zindigi has quickly become a popular financial platform for young adults in Pakistan. He has also played a key role in promoting public-private collaborations to advance the digitalization of Pakistan's economy. With almost two decades of experience in financial services, Azhar is known for spearheading digital transformations and advocating for expanded access to financial services.
The Zindigi leader has received numerous recognitions, including “Digital Leader of the Year” at the Pakistan Digital Awards. He was also among Pakistan’s Top 25 Fintech Influencers for 2024, as designated by the Pakistan Fintech News Network. Furthermore, he received the ‘Excellence Award’ from Pakistani President Arif Alvi for his substantial contributions to the nation’s digital ecosystem.
